Being a whislte blower and one of the few physicians to testify on behalf of female patients, she has been called the "Raph Nader" of Women's Health Care. Because of her activism, she has been the target of her peers and of the medical community whom she publicly exposes. She has been called everything from a terorist (for informing women that fibroids are not cancerous) to radical (for her firm beleifs that, for the women's good health, the uterus should not be removed expect in the case of cancer). Today, informing women and the belief that the uterus plays a beneficial role in a woman's health is embraced and accepted by the medical community but she faces ongoing backlash as she continues to expose current abuses in women's health care.

Dr. Hufnagel does not practice medicine in the USA. In the USA she only provides educational consults and legal reviews.

July 2004:

Dr. Hufnagel's CV is under update. Many courses, papers, and other important events need to added. A fire took place in July 1999 destroying her entire office. Then in November 11 2004 her computers and files were stolen. We are working on gathering more data for the CV .

Over the past five years Dr. Hufnagel has studied nautralpathy and alternative medicine with doctorate degrees in these areas. This has added to her expertise in women’s health care. These degrees are posted here also. She has worked in anti-aging , and stress reduction. She has consulted on rehab programs for physical , emotional , and mind work for corporations. She created the REVERSE SITE .

Dr. Hufnagel has continued her studies in formula work under various pharmacological educational systems. Her formulas have been used safely for some 20 years. Her work founded Europa Health and she owns the formulas concepts. She will be launching REVERSE with her formulas 2004.

In the past five years Dr. Hufnagel has focused also in the extensive study of in depth psychology and myth. She has attended various CME courses at the Jung Institute Los Angeles and Pacifica Graduate Institute. This work is to look into the behavior of women and how they deal with health problems. She is writing post graduate papers on these topics. She is on going in her education at the Jung Institute.

CURRENT CLINICAL RESEARCH

Dr. Hufnagel founded the REVERSE SITE. This center provides treatment to reverse aging and menopause conditions. It is a center concept that provides treatments at one site and also with mobile units to reverse the changes of aging and depletion states. Long term focus includes disease states as well. The program is integrative providing traditional and alternative therapy. Working with developments from NASA Dr. Hufnagel developed this unique program. This program is licensed to various clinics and hospitals.

Dr. Hufnagel developed PLASMA STATE SURGREY (PSS) a new means to operate with out cutting and without sutures. With this she developed HEM Rx a new means to treat and remove hemorrhoids using PSS. These are patent pending and trademarked. www.hemrx.com is in development.

Meet Dr. VIKKI HUFNAGEL MD Phd

VIKKI HUFNAGEL, M.D., pioneer in advancing women's medicine and crusader for Reproductive Health Rights, graduated from Medical School at the University of California in San Francisco. She then became Chief Resident, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein Hospital in New York.

With training, experience, and employing the state of the art and latest advances in surgical techniques, she created and developed "Female Reconstructive Surgery" (FRS). FRS is an alternative to hysterectomy for non-cancerous conditions such as fibroids and uterine prolapse. Women previously had no other options.

Dr. Hufnagel is the first to come forth and fully expose and document the massive female surgical abuses in the United States. (Hysterectomies in the United States, 1965-1984, Vital & Health Statistics; U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, December 1987). She provided testimony before the U.S. Congress and the National Institute of Health on gender issues in medicine.

Her book, No More Hysterectomies, revolutionized the women's health care field and the concepts concerning the role and function of the female reproductive system.

Dr. Hufnagel founded the Institute for Reproductive Health (IRH) as an educational resource and legislature center. Through the IRH, Dr. Hufnagel worked with California Senator Diane Watson (now Congresswoman Watson) and other dignitaries for the successful passage of the nation's first informed consent law, Senate Bill 835. Known as "Informed Consent to Hysterectomy", this law and subsequent laws makes it mandatory for physicians in the states of California, New York, and Texas to fully inform women on the complications of, and alternatives and options to, hysterectomy.

In an ongoing effort to educate, inform and empower women about the health care rights, Dr. Hufnagel has appeared on both radio and television. Programs to her credit have included: "Phil Donahue", Leeza," "Sally Jesse Raphael," "Oprah," KNBC, KABC, MSNBC, FOX, CNN, BBC and numerous radio programs nationwide.

She is currently the Medical Director of the International Women's FRS Center located in Baja, California, where she teaches FRS. The FRS Center is state of the art and is the only location that currently offers FRS.

The Hufnagel Institute, a non-for-profit organization, has been newly created to:

Further the public education regarding women's reproductive and hormonal health.
Provide medical and surgical care for women.
Further women's health/civil rights.
Further expand the International Women's FRS Center's newly created teaching program, teaching and certifying the next generation of women health care providers/physicians the ideals and skills of FRS.

The International Coalition for the Advancement of Women's Health Care, Education, and Rights, (TICAW), in association with The Hufnagel Institute, is conducting studies and gathering information about current trends and abusives of women's health care.
